Super Horn

I have a soft spot for custom hi-fi. So when the chance came to build speaker cabinets for the Lisbon-based brand Estro Sound, I had to say yes. And of course I put in a little extra effort: the grain runs continuously around each cabinet, the corners are mitred and the woofers are mounted without visible fixings. Given enough attention, even pine plywood can shine.

This is what Estro has to say about them:
"A large format, two cabinet active loudspeaker. The Super Horn combines a large 12" woofer on the bottom, with a horn loaded compression driver above to cover the full range of frequencies. This is a big, bold statement speaker for at home or in-venue listening.
